In all, the National Park contains about 146 miles of public footpaths, 35 miles of public bridleways and over a hundred square miles of Crown land with open access.
Here, we feature 12 walks of between 1.5 and 5 miles in the small but beautiful corner of the New Forest around Woodgreen. All the routes can be combined or mixed and matched to make longer walks. Each route description has a link to a Google Maps version allowing you to navigate with your phone!
We hope you try them. Let us know how you get on. And if you take any photos, please send them along to firstname.lastname@example.org.
These walks featured in Woodgreen Community Shop’s 2019 calendar. It included over 50 beautiful photographs illustrating the routes and was a sell-out!
